Ray Floriani: A graduate of St. Bonaventure University and former team manager for the Brown & White, Ray Floriani has been covering college basketball for 32 years, including 25 years with Eastern Basketball Magazine. In addition to his contributions with College Chalktalk, Floriani is on the Basketball Times staff and regularly contributes to sites such as College Insider, Rush the Court, and Villanova by the Numbers. A basketball official for two decades, Ray resides in Lyndhurst, NJ with his wife Karen. Ray has also written books, such as "Harrison" (Arcadia 2003) which he co-authored with his wife Karen, as well as "The National Invitation Tournament" (Arcadia 2006).
Derrick Dukes: A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dukes was a four-year starter at the University of Dayton under former Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers Head Coach, and current ESPN NBA Columnist, Jim O'Brien. As a point guard, despite his size, he scored 1,061 points, passed for 497 assists, garnered 375 rebounds, and made 166 steals, during his college playing career. Eventually, Dukes took his talents to the broadcast booth, joining the WHIO-TV Sports (CBS affiliate, Dayton, OH), Time Warner Regional TV Sports, and WHIO-Radio Show "Flyer Feedback" all during the 2005 college basketball season. He is a valued contributor to College Chalktalk, providing consult and commentary on the Atlantic 10 since early 2008.
Christian Marge: A Rhode Island native now residing in Mooresville, North Carolina, Christian began his journalism career covering the New England Revolution of the MLS before transitioning to a variety of other sports including college basketball. Since 2008, Marge has been a contributor to College Chalktalk, focusing his efforts in the southeast region of the Atlantic 10 footprint and on general national commentary. A graduate of Elon University, Christian now resides in Mooresville, North Carolina, and enjoys cheering on the Phoenix, as well as his beloved Boston Red Sox.
Charles Costello: A 1998 graduate of Fordham University, Costello received his Master's Degree in Teaching from Sacred Heart University. Costello resides in Stamford, CT. He is the creator, editor, and lead writer of fordhamsportsnet.com, a website that provides independent, comprehensive coverage of the Fordham University men's basketball and football teams. He is also the host of Fordham SportsNet Radio. Costello began his career as a sports broadcaster at WFUV Radio in New York. He was the host of One on One, New York's longest-running sports call-in show. He also broadcasted daily sports updates, and did play-by-play and color commentary of Fordham basketball. In addition, Costello was a beat reporter for the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Knicks, and Rangers. In addition to his contributions to CCT, Costello is the creator/author of "Jets Takeoff", a Connecticut Post blog.
David Driver: David Driver, a native of Harrisonburg, VA, has covered college basketball for a variety of publications in the mid-Atlantic region for 20 years. He has been the sports editor of daily and weekly papers in Maryland, covered George Washington as a correspondent for the Associated Press, and contributed to regional and national magazines. Driver has covered conference tournaments in the Atlantic 10, CAA and Patriot League as well as tourneys for men and women. Between 2003-2006, Driver had the unique experience of covering professional basketball in Europe while living in Hungary, and filed stories from nine different countries. He also covered the European Championships from Serbia. His sports blog, focusing on hoops much of the year, can be found under 'contact' on his profesional Web site.
Vinny Pezzimenti: Vinny Pezzimenti covers Penn State football and high school sports for the Centre Daily Times in State College, Pa. He previously covered Atlantic 10 basketball as the St. Bonaventure beat writer for four years at the Olean Times Herald. While in Olean he served as one of 72 voters nationally in The Associated Press Top 25 college basketball poll. Pezzimenti has worked in State College since August 2008, earning a pair of Pennsylvania state press awards for sports coverage. A 2004 graduate of St. Bonaventure, he served as a four-year student manager for the men's basketball program and was part of the 2000-01 and 2001-02 teams that earned NIT berths.
George "Roadie" Rodecker: George "Roadie" Rodecker is a 20 year member of the United States Basketball Writers Association (U.S.B.W.A.) and has closely observed the amateur basketball scene world-wide for the past 21 seasons. He's covered the NCAA Final Four, the FIBA World Championships, the Goodwill Games as well as the Portsmouth, Phoenix, Chicago and Orlando NBA Pre-Draft camps and is a regular attendee at private Pre-Draft workouts. Roadie's also a regular at the NBA Draft Lottery as well as the NBA Draft itself. He's reported on college basketball and specifically the NBA Draft on behalf of CBS, hoopville.com, collegeinsider.com, hoopshype.com, Sportsline, basketballtimes.com, Basketball Times Magazine, and Eastern Basketball Magazine. Additionally, Roadie has appeared on NBA-TV, as well as making hundreds of appearances on sports talk radio stations around the US as well as internationally. On average he attends around 125 games each season and watches an additional 100+ games on tape. He makes his home in New York State's historic Hudson Valley where he recently completed a cooking/good living book and enjoys cooking, fine cigars, Pink Floyd & bird watching - often all at the same time!
Vin Parise: Vin Parise is the new college basketball analyst for Cox Sports New England. This season he will be hosting a brand new "Tip-Off" show that will air before Providence and URI games on Cox Sports. Parise is also the college basketball analyst for WFAN Radio in New York City. Parise was a Division 1 College Basketball Coach for 8 seasons at FDU, Iona and Rutgers before entering broadcasting. Doug Tifft: The only student contributor with College Chalktalk, Doug Tifft is a student at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, who covers the Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team from his post as the sports editor of the Xavier Newswire. In addition to contributing to College Chalktalk, he has covered professional baseball, golf and auto racing, along with a number of local and high school sports. He grew up a Boston Red Sox fan in Elmira, N.Y., yet somehow lived to talk about it.
