• Prior to coaching at UNF, Shyatt spent the last two seasons (2007-09) at Virginia Commonwealth University as Director of Men’s Basketball Operations. In his two seasons at VCU, the Rams appeared in the NCAA Tournament and the NIT Tournament.

• Shyatt’s dad, Larry, is currently an assistant coach at the University of Florida.

• Through collaborating together on a number of charitable events, Shyatt has developed a good friendship with with NBA star, Carlos Boozer of the Utah Jazz.
