NCDS: Tracy Dildy, Assoc. Head Coach - UIC Flames

By: Tracy Dildy, Assoc. Head Coach - UIC

The month of January wasn't good for the Flames. This was the first time in my 20 years of coaching that I experienced a whole month without a win. I must say that our young men have continued to fight, which is a great thing. Seeing how the season has gone, a lot of people would have packed it in by now. We as a staff can say that we are seeing some improvement. We have already gotten a win in February and we are playing better ball.

I can't say enough about our young men and their effort and attitudes after the things that have happened this year, with losing three starters before the season even started and having to play guys that we had planned to redshirt. With all that being said, our guys have not made excuses or feltsorry for themselves. This group will always have a special place in my heart.

So far we have shown a lot of improving this month. We have a win and we have had a chance to win the other games, so as we head down the home stretch we are playing good ball and we believe that we are going put together a string of wins going into the conference tournament. Like we all know, anything can happen in the tournament. God Bless!!

Yours in Coaching,

Tracy Dildy
