    The greatest thing about the addition of Louisville, Notre Dame, Pitt, and Syracuse into the ACC is the balance of power is spread across the league.  Look at the top where Duke and North Carolina generally sat for many years.  No. 2 Virginia continues to lock down people with it’s defense while the No. 10 Fighting Irish are breathing down the Cavaliers’ collective necks.     A four way tie. Dayton, VCU, Rhode Island and UMass are deadlocked in first place at 9-3. A game behind is Davidson. The regular season title is up for grabs and in reach. For those not fortunate to enter the winner’s circle, there are added incentives.  Getting a high seed for the post season tournament.  Securing resume’ building victories and gaining momentum for a strong showing in the conference tournament.  Naturally, success in Brooklyn can lead to the Big Dance and/or a higher tournament seed.
