    Losing the likes of Tyler Ennis and C.J. Fair to the NBA Draft doesn’t ever deter Jim Boeheim.  He is at the level with the Syracuse Orange where he reloads and plugs the next 4-star or 5-star players in. Monday night in Chapel Hill defined how a lack of depth due to injuries can erode the effectiveness of a good basketball team in a power league.     After consecutive losses to Tulsa and Stanford, respectively, UConn (10-7, 3-2) shot 48 percent from the field including an impressive 55 percent from beyond the arc, and the Huskies beat American Athletic Conference foe, UCF (9-9, 2-5), 67-60, in front of roughly 10,000 UConn faithful at Gampel Pavillion Thursday evening.     Preseason magazines and the Atlantic 10 media and coaches polls stubbed their collective toes when placing the Davidson Wildcats anywhere from 12th to 14th in their new league in their first year.  Some of those outlets may have revisited their original assessments late Saturday night after the Wildcats were ripped, 89-63, at Richmond.  It was the same Spiders that Davidson had nailed 81-67 in their Atlantic 10 debut.
